BEST WINTER LIP BALM

Hi everyone now we are heading towards Winter it is the time of year were we need our lip balm.

But which lip balm to buy?

Which is the better lip balm?

We reviewed 3 lip balms :- Derma V10 Petroleum Jelly
                                            Nivea Essential Care Lip Balm
                                            Burts Bees Hydrating Lip Balm.

The only thing worse than dry cracked lips is to find yourself without your lip balm. So with Winter coming and us about to put the heating on in our houses ,i thought it was time to check out the available lip balms.

NIVEA ESSENTIAL CARE - LIP BALM.

£1.65 for 4.8g

This offers basic protection for your lips and protects them from moisture loss.
It gives a glossy finish, not at all waxy with no taste or smell.
As the stick is white if you try to put a lot on your lips you are left with a whitish tint covering your lips which isn't a good look or ideal if you want to put lipstick on top of this.

My only gripe with this product is like all twist lip products you are left with a small piece of the product in the base of the tube.

DERMA V10 LIP CARE TINS.

£0.99p for 20g tin

These petroleum jelly lip balms come in little tins, handy for your bag, purse or pocket.
I tried the twin pack which has 1 x tin of ordinary lip balm and 1x tin of  Aloe Vera lip balm.
The only problem with this being in a tin is that the lip balm is very greasy and gets all over your fingers, then gets all over the tin lid as you try to replace it.

For me this product like ordinary Vaseline is just too greasy to use as a lip balm.

On the plus side i find this lip balm is very useful if you have a cold and under your nose is very sore, i then smear some of the lip balm on my skin and it heals it stopping it being sore. But as a lip balm i am not a big fan of this at all.

BURTS BEES HYDRATING LIP BALM.

£3.65 for 4.25g

The Burts Bees lip balm i tried is "hydrating with coconut oil and pear" and is 100% natural .

It is very easy to apply, so can be applied liberally to the lips as often as is needed. It hydrates your lips with a sweet light kiss of coconut oil - cold pressed from the fruit of coconut palm trees, this is a light non greasy oil and is known for its moisturizing properties and vitamin rich pear.
The smell is wonderful adding a real tropical feel leaving your lips feeling very soft and hydrated without that cloggy feeling you get from other lip balms, this lip balm can also be used under your own lipstick.
