WHICH IS YOUR FAVOURITE ZAYN MALIK HAIRCUT OF ONE DIRECTION ? - by Louise Bird of Louise's Mobile Hair Design.

Zayn Malik age 22 is just 1/5 th of the English pop band 1 Direction. and over the last year it is his hair that has been making the headlines.

In January this year  2015 we saw the One Direction star let go of his longer hair and boasted a long quiff with shaven sides thanks to Kieron Webb the Creative Director of The London Barber.

 Zayn's new hairstyle for 2015 features an undercut with the sides and back shaved and extra length left at the top for him to still have his famous man bun.

December 2014 - saw the slicked back into a ponytail look, getting rid of the quiff

November 2014 - saw the piece of hair the world all tweeted and spoke about,

October 2014 - stop the press Zayn is wearing a man hairband! yes we saw the zig-zag hairband favoured by David Beckham in the 90's

September 2014 - the side parting and sweep over style hit the headlines, with the little curly bits at the bottom.





June 2014 - the down style , all swept to the side and the beard is still going strong.

January 2014- wow the hot look, all beard and a very neat shaven short sides but leaving plenty of height on the top.

O.A.P SHAMPOO & SETS IN THE COMFORT OF YOUR OWN HOME - By Louise's Mobile Hair Design

The "Shampoo and Set" used to be the stable of hairdressers and salons in your Grandmothers days, today there are a few O.A.P. clients left who still like their weekly shampoo and set, but not many hairdressers who can do it.

What is a Shampoo & Set ? 

* Shampoo and condition the hair

* Wind the wet hair in rollers into the style required, using setting lotion for an extra hold.

* The amount of curl desired can be created by the size of the roller. for a tighter curl use smaller           rollers.

* Place a hair net over the rollers to hold in place.

* Sit under a hood hairdryer .The length of time varies on the length of the hair. An average short hair    will take between 20 -30 minutes to dry.

* When the hair is dry the rollers are removed and the hair combed out into the required style,                sometimes back combing to add height.

GRADUAL TANNER - DOVE SUMMER GLOW NOURISHING LOTION V JOHNSONS HOLIDAY SKIN BODY LOTION

With Spring around the corner i thought it was time to review 2 of the most popular gradual tans and explain them to you...............

If you like the idea of using a self tanner but you are a little worried and are looking for a light natural tan then gradual tanners are a great idea.

What are granual tanners?

Basically gradual tanners are body lotions that moisturise and add a light bronze tint to the skin which you can build up over the week or as often as you see fit depending on the deepness of the tan you require.
They are not as extreme as a normal self tanner and streaks are less noticeable. A gradual tanner are great to add a


natural colour to the skin, it is very difficult to make your skin go orange.
Most tanners come in two shades - light to medium or medium to dark.
if you are a nervous tanner i advise you to go for the lighter shade first before you go to the darker shade.

Johnsons Holiday Skin . 250ml      price £5.25

This was the 1st gradual tanner to come on the market, and does have that fake tan smell which to me puts me off the product.
I find that this tanner dries oddly in the creases of your skin eg your elbow crease, behind your knees, neck crease.
If you could get this lotion to spread evenly it would be a good tanner but to me it doesnt as this is the fault of the product not the user.
The end result is a little lighter than other gradual tanner products.

Dove Summer Glow.     250ml       price  £5.25

This is a very thick lotion i would call it more a cream. This gradual tanner has a lovely smell no  horrid fake tan smell.
Dove is really moisturising and applies really evenly, the end result is about 1-2 shade deeper than my natural skin colour and lasts for around 5 days without fading completely.
When fading this product fades evenly unlike other products.
I find for a natural tan i only need to apply 3 times a week.
The only down side is it takes a little while to soak into the skin, but i blame the product for being more a cream than a lotion.
